What is a season? A season is a period of the year that is distinguished by special climate conditions according to National Geographic Society. We are used to there being 4 seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. But yet some say 5 seasons which is a 2nd spring.
Every season serves a different purpose. Spring succeeds winter and precedes summer. In the spring our time springs forward and daytime is extended. Spring refers to renewal, resurrection, regrow the, and rejuvenation. An ah-ha moment. Easter is always in the spring.
Well what about summer? Summer is the 3 hottest months. More time is spent outside. School is out, beaches are filled, vacations are booked, and cookouts are in full effect.
Then fall. What is the fall season? The temperature gradually decreases. Leaves fall and change colors and time falls back. Fall is also harvest season. In the fall we gather and store food in preparation for winter.
Winter is the coldest season. The nights are long and the days are short. Plants need shorter days and low temperatures to become dormant. This is how plants store up energy for new growth. If a fruit tree doesn’t have enough chilling time, the buds will be fewer and weaker.
This leads us back to our title: Seasons Change, Know Your Seasons.
Every day of our lives will not be harvest season. Along the way some things fall off, some things die. If we never have a season of sowing and planting, there would be no fruit to harvest. When you know the season that you are in, you won’t be disappointed by the results or outcome. The reason being is because you had a season of preparation or prepared for what would take place.
That person that is down today may not be down tomorrow.
They will always remember how you made them feel.
We as a people make the mistake of building relationships and thinking that everyone we meet or sup with are meant to be with us during all seasons of our lives. We should be asking why is this person in my life and how long will they be staying? Know your season so that you may be fruitful, joyful, prosperous, and always full of life. Walk in your season
