NBA announced that they will commit more than $2.5 million in funds and resources to HBCUs as part of this year’s All-Star Game that will be taking place home of the Atlanta Hawks Sunday March 7th, 2021 in Atlanta Georgia.
Support from the NBA will help Historically Black Colleges and Universities across America with the necessary funds and resources that will go toward Historically Black Colleges and Universities in support and awareness around equity and access to COVID-19 care, relief and vaccines. NBA All-Star 2021 to feature the Game and Skills competitions on one night for the first time on March 7. The NBA and NBPA are committing more than $2.5M toward HBCUs and provide support and awareness around equity and access to COVID-19 relief and vaccines.

“NBA All-Star in Atlanta will continue our annual tradition of celebrating the game and the greatest players in the world before a global audience. In addition to the festivities on the court, the All-Star Game will honor the vital role HBCUs play in our communities and focus attention and resources on COVID-19 relief, particularly for the most vulnerable.”
This year roster selection and format expected to be the same as last year with the teams competing to win each quarter and playing to a Final Target Score during the untimed fourth quarter.
