Two new artists have been added to the list of performers at the 2021 Presidental Inauguration!
We’ve just learned that Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga will headline President-elect and Vice President-elect, Kamala Harris’ swearing-in ceremony.
The Presidential Inauguration Committee announced this morning that Lady Gaga will perform the national anthem while Lopez will deliver a musical performance.
Amanda Gorman – the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate will deliver a poetry reading while President of the International Association of Firefighters Local 3920 in Fulton, Georgia – Andrea Hall will deliver the Pledge of Allegiance. If you didn’t already know, Hall is also the first Black woman in the department’s history to be promoted to the rank of Fire Captain.
Father Leo J. O’Donovan will deliver the invocation while Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman – Pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Delaware will give the benediction.
A celebrity-filled prime-time special hosted by Tom Hanks will also air LIVE on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC from 8:30PM to 10PM EST on January 20th. As previously announced, Justin Timberlake, Ant Clemons, and Demi Lovato will also perform.
