We had an opportunity to chat it up with Ebony.
Please introduce yourself to our reading audience.
Hello, my name is Ebony Porter-Ike and I am the President of The epiMediaGroup, LLC, I am also the Visionary of the Coinology™ franchise and the creator of The epiconference. Everything that I do is about teaching our people how to create multiple streams of income to secure themselves for the future. I am the author of two books under the Coinology series and I am currently working on my third book. I am also working on a few film projects and I am a silent owner in a new night club in Atlanta. In short, I am a BUSINESS WOMAN.
What made you want to become an entrepreneur?
I began the epiMediaGroup, LLC because I felt a strong “higher calling” to help other business owners live out their purpose. Many entrepreneurs have a dream, but they are not clear on the steps needed to execute and to completely build a sustainable brand. I have a gift with this, and I wanted to share. I also started my other brands Coinology™ and The epiConference to assist with this exact goal. I want to be sure that I reach as many people as possible. Basically, If you want to win, I want to help you get there.
What would you tell your 21 year old self?
I would tell myself to chill out. That life is meant to be lived. I spent my twenties so concerned about my future, that I missed out on being young, irresponsible and free. My twenties are much of a blur to me. I really wish that I had been a little more wreck less in my twenties so that I would have some war stories for my future (laughs). But hey, God made me in his perfection, so I accept that.
What do you want to say to the woman who doesn’t feel like she’s good enough to make it in the marketplace?
I would tell her that “She is enough.” So many of us are living with the imposter syndrome. We miss out on opportunities or our calling because we do not believe that we are worthy. This comes from past trauma, disappointments and/or images that have surrounded our psyche. I had to work through this exact same thing myself. So, I know what they are going through. The most important thing is to block out all noise, nay-sayers (even if they are family and friends) and stay focused on the end goal. Keep going, celebrate your wins (no matter how small) and keep your circle small with people who truly want to see you win and stretch your mental.
What do you want people to know about you?
I love what I do. I am so blessed that I was chosen for this life. To many, I seem very serious and focused on the money ALL OF THE TIME. But don’t be fooled.. I love to have fun, laugh, dance and love on my TRUE FRIENDS. I just need to feel that I am in safe and non-judgmental environment.
