Women across the nation have a big reason to celebrate today!
Each year on August 26th, 2020, women celebrate the anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment!
This year marks the 100th anniversary!
What better way to bring in the special day by taking in the wise words of our forever favorite FLOTUS, Michelle Obama. Obama took it to Twitter ahead of the celebration saying, “The struggle for women’s suffrage was long-and even longer for women of color-but generations of women knew that our vote was our voice….”.
The struggle for women’s suffrage was long—and even longer for women of color—but generations of women knew that our vote was our voice.
100 years later, and we're still showing up, voting, and making our voices heard. Register and make a plan to vote: https://t.co/cBTTn9yuTH pic.twitter.com/BRQyhXOQkg

Women’s Equality is often observed in many places around the world as a way to encourage and spread awareness.
Obama started a trend on Twitter so women across the world could share what/who inspired them to vote.
I'd love to hear the story of the #FirstWomanVoter who inspired you to vote––and make sure to tag some of your friends to share their story, too.
