Kanye West had social media in frenzy on the Fourth of July after announcing his plans to run for president in 2020. West took it to Twitter and said,
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION

The announcement shocked many, although the rapper expressed his interest in running serval times for the presidential seat in 2020.
Do you remember the 2015 MTV VMAs when west, took to the stage and stated,
“When I run for President in 2024,” West began, interrupted by an outbreak of laughter in the audience. “What y’all laughing at? We would create so many jobs! I’m not going to run; I’m going to walk.”
As of now, it is unclear if West finalized anything like completing the paperwork necessary to run for president seat this election year, which would mean he’d likely have to run as a write-in candidate according to the protocol.
