We all know the saying “good things come to those who wait.” At one point, I believed this to be true, until I realized great things come to those who don’t. This obviously lead to a no days off, I’ll sleep when I’m gone, type attitude that was only further supported by several, ongoing, bouts of insomnia. However, today I understand that sleep is something that can’t be pushed so far back on the priority list. It’s instrumental in being the best version of oneself physically, mentally and emotionally which in the long run makes for a much smoother ride through life and all that it has to offer. Balance is key.

Workout

The theme is, don’t sleep on sleep as it’s a huge part of wellness physically, emotionally and mentally.

Meal

One sliced large banana
five large strawberries sliced thick
a cup and a half of almond milk
If prepping for exercise, blend in vanilla protein powder before adding fruit

Enjoy a bowl of cereal, minus the cereal. It’s simple and refreshing!
