Blunt Brunch Nationals presented a night of Glitz and Glamour for Las Vegas’ 13th Annual MJ BizCon. Founders Adelia Carrillo, CMO of EventHi and Parisa Rad, put a twist on their highly anticipated event this year, powered by Pomponio Injury Law, Proteus 420, and Curaleaf.

Traditional Blunt Brunch events are more casual, but for their 4th Annual MJ BizCon activation, Adelia and Parisa gathered and glamourized. Pivoting from the speaker sessions and awards ceremonies, this year cannaladies luxuriated and celebrated Women creating empires within the cannabis industry.

Sheen Magazine was on the scene for the Blunt Brunch Ladies Night Soiree at the luxurious IPEC Las Vegas—a multifunctional venue that incudes sleep rooms and ballroom spaces. While violinist Felicia Zaharoff serenaded the red carpet and cocktail hour in the grand foyer, brunchettes mixed and mingled donning elegant ensembles. Following cocktail hour, guests gallivanted between the cannabis consumption bus and the ballroom with DJ Kelly J energizing the dance floor on the ones and twos.

Notable attendees included, Oakland, California native and mother, Evelyn Lachapelle, who was sentenced to 87 months in prison for unjust cannabis charges and no prior record. Evelyn has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and says that following her release in 2019, she returned to her position as a sales and catering coordinator, but when a co-worker decided to google Evelyn, she was terminated. “There was much more red tape attempting to return to corporate America.” Thus, Evelyn established her product and lifestyle brand, The Weed Lady, which includes premium pre-rolls, rose gold grinders and J carriers, indica candles, CBD bath salts, and The Weed Lady and “Weed is not a crime” apparel. Evelyn is a strong advocate for normalizing cannabis culture and for women whom the criminal justice system has negatively impacted.

Meet Adeola Adedipe, CEO of Aidens Re-Leaf, the story and the cannabis brand of a mothers love. In 2016, her then two-year old son, Aiden Adedipe, was diagnosed with T-Cell Leukemia and given only three days to live. Adeola transformed into the ultimate mama bear and healed Aiden by using RSO Oil, created by Canadian Engineer Rick Simpson. RSO Oil is a full-spectrum, whole plant extract cannabis oil that maintains all of the cannabinoids of the plant, from THC and CBD to the terpenes and proteins. Full spectrum cannabis activates the Entourage Effect, which is beneficial to users because of the combination of cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds, which increase the therapeutic effectiveness of the medicine and manages conditions such as multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, chronic pain, and cancer treatment side effects. Adeola created Aidens Re-Leaf and all legacy strains and products can be found in Humble Root and Crystal Nugs.
