Back in 1995, the book Waiting To Exhale was turned into a film and featured big names in entertainment such as Whitney Houston, Loretta devine, Lela Rochon, and Angela Basset.
Fast forward to 2020, we just found out that the popular book following four friends on a journey to finding true love will be turned into a television series.
Terry McMillan, author of the best-selling novel took it to Twitter to share the exciting news.
So, WAITING TO EXHALE is going to be a TV series. Produced by Lee Daniels. Attica Locke and Tembi Locke are writing. Anthony Hemingway will direct. I lucked out.

The film-version of the book was directed by Forest Whitaker and the soundtrack was produced by Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds.
The new television adaption will be handled by Lee Daniels while Anthony Hemingway will direct. Attica and Tembi Locke will write this project.
