We’re living in a day and time when everyone has a microwave mentality. Sheen Magazine had the opportunity to sit and talk with Keya Dream owner of Salon Dream located in New Jersey. Keya specializes in tape-ins, wigs & beauty education. 

What inspired you to become a beauty professional, and how does your approach set you apart in the salon industry?

My passion for beauty comes from a deeper place—wanting people to feel truly seen, cared for, and confident. I created my salon to be more than a place for services; it’s a space where clients can pause, breathe, and be nurtured. What sets me apart is the intention behind every detail. From the moment a client walks in, they’re met with calm energy, expert care, and a personalized experience that’s rooted in connection and trust.

How does your salon offer convenience for clients balancing busy lifestyles?

Luxury is about ease. My salon is designed to fit beautifully into my clients’ lives—appointments run on time, the environment is serene, and the experience is seamless from booking to checkout. Clients leave feeling not only polished, but restored. It’s beauty without chaos.

What unique services or experiences does your brand offer that clients won’t find elsewhere?

Every service is elevated. I take time to understand each client’s individual needs—whether it’s their skin, style, or state of mind—and tailor every treatment accordingly. I offer quiet, uninterrupted sessions, premium products, and thoughtful touches that turn routine appointments into moments of self-care. Clients don’t just come for results; they come for how it feels to be in this space.

How do you ensure high-quality results in your salon environment?

Quality is non-negotiable. I stay current with the best techniques, use top-tier products, and keep a close eye on every step of the process. My salon is a curated space—clean, calm, and designed to support exceptional service. The experience is consistent, and the results reflect that standard.

What safety and hygiene standards does your salon follow?

Cleanliness is part of the luxury experience. My tools are thoroughly sanitized between every client, disposable items are used where appropriate, and the entire space is maintained to the highest standard. Clients can relax knowing that their health and safety are always prioritized.

How has building strong, personal connections with your clients influenced your salon’s success and loyalty?

True beauty service goes beyond technique—it’s about trust, comfort, and care. My clients know they’re more than just a name on the schedule. I take the time to listen, to learn what makes them feel beautiful, and to build relationships that last. That connection turns first-time clients into loyal ones, and it’s the heart of everything I do.
