In our exclusive Q&A with Tasha Page Lockhart, the national recording artist and television personality shared her excitement for her upcoming tour with comedian Travele Judon, as well as gave a sneak peek into her new music that will be releasing in the coming months.
Tasha also discussed the importance of staying true to her gospel roots while exploring other genres of music and how her faith has influenced her music and message. She hopes that her music will inspire and uplift fans, leaving them feeling encouraged and empowered. It was clear from our conversation that Tasha’s passion for her craft and her desire to make a positive impact on the world through her music are as strong as ever.

Q: Can you tell us about your upcoming tour with comedian Travele Judon and what fans can expect from the shows?
TPL: Yes, I’m very excited about the “This Is Me” tour with Travele Judon and grateful to be included to these incredible shows. We’ll be bringing a mix of our individual styles together for an unforgettable experience. Fans can expect a lot of energy and passion from both of us as we share our music and stories with them. I will be performing some of my most popular songs, as well as some new material that I’ve been working on.
Q: Speaking of new material, can you give us a sneak peek into any new music that you have coming out soon?
TPL: Yes, I’ve been working on some new music that I’m really excited about. My latest single, “Why Not Me,” is a song that I wrote about overcoming adversity and not giving up on your dreams. It’s a message that I think a lot of people related to. I will be dropping a new single soon with a full-length album forth-coming.
Q: You’ve had a successful career in the gospel music industry, but your music also crosses over into other genres. How do you balance staying true to your gospel roots while also exploring other styles of music?
TPL: For me, it’s all about staying true to who I am and the message that I want to share through my music. Gospel music has always been a big part of my life, and it’s something that I will always hold dear. But I also love exploring different styles and genres of music and finding ways to incorporate those influences into my own sound. I think it’s important to be true to yourself as an artist and to keep growing and evolving with each new project.
Q: You’ve been very open about your personal struggles and how your faith has helped you overcome them. Can you talk a bit about how your faith has influenced your music?
TPL: My faith is everything to me, and it’s at the heart of everything I do, including my music. I believe that God has given me a gift, and I want to use that gift to inspire and encourage others. Whether I’m singing about my own struggles or sharing a message of hope and faith, I always try to make sure that my music reflects my personal beliefs and values.
Q: What do you hope fans take away from your music and your performances?
TPL: My hope is that fans will be inspired and uplifted by my music and that they will leave my shows feeling encouraged and empowered. I want my music to be a source of hope and healing for people who may be going through difficult times, and I hope that my performances will be a way for people to connect with one another and with something greater than themselves. Ultimately, I want to use my music to make a positive impact on the world around me.

The “This Is Me” tour will kick off in Athens, Georgia on June 7th and will make stops in Savannah, Atlanta, Augusta and North Carolina, Virginia, New York, New Jersey, and Kentucky. There will be more dates and cities added.
Hailing from the historical city of Detroit, Michigan, multi-talented vocalist Tasha Page Lockhart is the season six winner of Sunday Best, BET Network’s hit gospel singing competition. Tasha is the daughter of award-winning gospel singer Lisa Page Brooks of the female group “Witness,” and the granddaughter of Motown alumni Warren Harris of “The Monitors.” She began singing at a young age, recording jingles for companies such as Chrysler, Bisquick, Kmart, The Detroit Red Wings, and United Way.
Since 2014, Tasha has released two albums “Here Right Now” and “The Beautiful Project.” Lockhart had a #1 Billboard charting single with Bryan Popin “Beautiful Savior” and is featured on Tye Tribbett’s Grammy Nominated project “All Thing’s New.”
She is also known for her role as “Netta” in Tyler Perry’s “Madea on the Run,” a character who left a lasting impression on audiences. In addition to her acting work, Tasha is also an accomplished author, having written the book “And the Winner is… Tasha Page Lockhart Uncut.”
Tasha is a multi-talented entertainer who has made a name for herself as a podcast host and an actress. Her podcast, “Not Just For Church Folk,” provides a refreshing space for open and honest discussions on topics ranging from faith to relationships.
Recently, Tasha also showcased her acting skills as the lead in the 2022 Lifetime movie “Kirk Franklin’s The Night Before Christmas.” With her varied skills and life experiences, she brings a dynamic and engaging presence to the entertainment industry.
In addition to her music career, she has also made a name for herself as a television personality, appearing on WE tv’s “Grown and Gospel” docu-series.
