12-Year-Old Actress, Celina Smith to Star as Annie in NBC’s ‘Annie Live!’

Congratulations are in order because the wait is over!

We finally have an Annie set for the upcoming NBC holiday production, Annie Live!

12-year-old actress, Celina Smith will star as Annie alongside Taraji P. Henson [will portray Miss Hannigan], Harry Connick Jr. [will portray Daddy Warbucks], Nicole Scherzinger [will portray Grace], and Tituss Burgess [will portray Rooster].

The live musical adaption will air LIVE on Thursday, December 2^nd at 8 PM EST on NBC.

Smith began her career as Young Nala in the national company touring company of The Lion King and she can also be seen on Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan.

“Annie Live!” will be executive produced by Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Alex Rudzinsky, with Lear deBessonet and Alex Rudzinski sharing the directing duties. Choreography will be led by Sergio Trujillo. Jason Sherwood will oversee production design. Stephen Oremus will orchestrate the music direction. Emilio Sosa will lead costume design. The live event is being produced by Chloe Productions.
