Cresencia Garcia went viral after surviving COVID at 10o years of age. The viral post included a photo of Garcia in a service uniform which led her family and other veterans down a rabbit hole of research into the life and times of Mrs. Garcia.
Cresencia Garcia is 100 today. She beat coronavirus. She's now out of the ICU, (was never intubated) & is no longer requiring oxygen.

As a member of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion (Nicknamed the SixTripleEight), Garcia was a part of the first and only all-black Women Army Corps unit deployed overseas during WWII. She shared her incredible story with CBS News. Check it out below!
