The Belle of Hair
Actress Elise Neal is introducing her new line of extensions with California Lace Wigs & Weaves.
SHEEN recently had the pleasure of interviewing the beautiful and talented Elise Neal and Annette Jones, creator of California Lace Wigs and Weaves. Neal was in Los Angeles for a photo shoot to promote “Hollywood Belle”, her new line with California Lace Wigs & Weaves.
The line is made up of hair extensions with plans to eventually add wigs and hairpieces. It will have three different colors with the main focus going on the trendy and popular ombre (dark to light) color. According to Jones, the line will retail for between $130-$250.
Jones and Neal have been collaborating on this line since April and they’re currently putting the finishing touches on it. When asked why she chose Neal as the spokesperson for this new line, Jones said it’s because Neal has “many hair styles” and because she’s a “hair enthusiast” such as herself.
There is currently no release date for “Hollywood Belle” but both Neal and Jones assured that the line will be released before October and will only be available through California Lace Wigs & Weaves’ online store.
Neal is currently filming her new sitcom Belle’s which will debut on the TV One network this fall. Belle’s centers around an upscale soul food restaurant and, despite rumors, Neal doesn’t wear her “Hollywood Belle” line on the show. “We’ve already filmed seven episodes so we can’t do anything about those. I am going to try to sneak in some stuff [pieces from Hollywood Belle] in the newer episodes. We’ll see.” However, she did mention that everything she wears in those seven episodes are California Lace Wigs & Weaves products.
As for upcoming career plans, Neal is currently raising money to get her film “Timeless” released, a film she wrote and produced. Timeless deals with a woman who runs a dance school, but is having a hard time trying to balance her love life and doing what she loves for a living. The woman in the movie is from Memphis, Tennessee, just like Neal. Elise said shooting will start next year and that the movie partially autobiographical. “Basically it’s just like my life- trying to balance art and love.”
Neal has recently become an ambassador for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, and between her movies Timeless, 1982, The Under Sheppard, the sitcom Belle’s, and the “Hollywood Belle” hair line, the actress has a full plate.
